今天在看"Becoming Genevieve"時看到這幾個字--play with the house's money.

原文這樣寫,
Things always, always turn out for the best. The odds are stacked in your favor. You are playing with the house's money.

意思是事情都會往好的方向發展。都對你有利。你等於是毫無損失(風險)。

the house's money，這裡house 指的是賭場(casino)，當你贏錢時，你把本錢放入口袋，剩下的錢（也就是你手上再拿來賭的錢）其實是賭場的(the house's money)。

所以play with the house's money 是形容所做的事是沒有風險，不會有損失的意思。
