翻譯到底是interpret 還是translate?(是interpreter 還是translator?)

根據『The Wrong Word Dictionary』，interpreter 與translator 的區分如下，
An interpreter converts speech to another language, and a translator converts writing to another language.

簡單講，interpret 是口譯，translate 是筆譯。


所以，有時某些電視節目會分割一個小畫面讓專人比手語，那人應是interpreter。
