Appreciate

Appreciate有時會被誤用,，以中文字義來說，appreciate可以是感謝、欣賞、評價，相對應的英文可能是thank、admire、value及其它字。光看中文意思會覺得appreciate都可以用，都沒差。其實，差很多。看以下例句。

I appreciate you, and what you do. 改用 value.

I know I’ve said it time and again, but I do appreciate you, my friend.  改用  treasure.

He’s dedicating a lot of time to make sure our national finance effort is as strong as I know it’s going to be. I appreciate you, Mercer.  改用  thank.

There are not enough words in the world to tell you how much I love you, how much I appreciate you, or how much I want to thank you.  改用  admire.

She keeps me straight on all my links and she doesn’t miss a trick and I appreciate her very much.  改用  respect.

Tell your brothers that you appreciate them, but they need to back off. Use love.
